Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Posted: 15 May 2012

Good morning,
The Spirit of the Lord says:
I have chosen this difficult place for the place of birthing, to bring forth new life in you.   Here the enemy has been singing a death song over you, he does not fully understand that I resurrect life from here.   I have been singing My love song over you, right at the place of birthing, coaching you forward with My Word!   You will arise and shake off the covering of death and new life shall spring up.   Creativity, ingenuity, and insight will come, and the enemy shall be ashamed that he even touched you, because of his failure.   I will use this a 'pulpit', I will take what the enemy meant for your harm to minister life to all who must come the same way that you have.   They would never have come to Me, except for this place of dying that you have allowed.   Just as your Lord and Savior's death opened doors to new life for all that would accept and receive, you have imitated Him too.   You have chosen to die, even though your feelings opposed, you let the 'old' you die so that the 'new' you could rise from the ashes.   Only when a seed dies and loses its old coat can it break forth into the new.   This is the same for you.   You will shake off the 'old coat' and break forth into the new!   Opening the way for many to follow.   You will arise and hear My love song over you, "arise, arise My beloved", and as you do I will continue singing, "shine, shine My beloved".   Great grace and favor shall cover you!   Even as winter season comes and snow covers the earth, you will continue experiencing a harvest.

You will walk into a clearness of revelation and understanding, causing you to know and be aware of the plots and snares of the wicked one.   I have positioned you strategically for the authority you have in Me so that you can represent Me and have a profound influence in your sphere.   You are prepared to run ahead of the group, so that your holy living may set the pace and goal for others to attain.   I have given you a distinctiveness, to stand out, you are peculiar for a purpose!   Together we will change the world, it is the set up for the last leg of the race.   Run, and as you do, look right on, neither gazing around at others who are running, this will cause you to stumble and falter.   As you have a fixed gaze, you will have a new anointing for this hour.   The aroma and fragrance of your King intensifies, and will draw all those who desire to come to Me, yet this same fragrance will send others far away.   Those who want Me will be drawn by My aroma flowing from you, those who don't will be repelled, just keep lifting Me up.   Infiltrate your atmosphere with the knowledge of Me.   I have been pruning and priming you for this destiny and this set time.   It is far greater than what you can see and understand!   Yet, I Am revealing more and more as you set yourself aside for Me.

"Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.   But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.   To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom.   But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume.   And who is adequate for such a task as this?" (2 Corin. 2:15-16)   "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone.   But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives". (John 12:24)

Love,

Pastor D.

Get Up and Fight
His Princess Love Letter - 2012 | 16 Mei 2012 | 21:55:07

Get Up and Fight

My Princess Warrior,

The greatest battle you may ever fight is the fight to forgive yourself. Remember, My beloved, all my chosen ones had to get up and receive My gift of grace to finish living out their faith.

I gave My disciple Peter the strength to get up from guilt from denying he ever knew Me. I gave My anointed King David the grace to get up from the shame of committing adultery. I gave My apostle Paul the mercy to get up from pride and arrogance. I gave my warrior Gideon the courage to stand above his fears.

The time is now to accept My forgiveness, and finish what I called you to do. Nothing can keep you down, because My power to rise again is in you.

Love,
Lour King who helps you up whenever you fall

Walk the Road to Life
His Princess Love Letter - 2012 | 16 Mei 2012 | 21:53:51

Walk the Road to Life

My Princess,

There will always be two roads before you, My love. The popular road is easy, its bumps worn smooth by the wandering crowds. This road appears safe simply because so many have already ventured around its curves and shuffled down into its valleys. What the crowds don't understand is that this road is filled with regret and guilt, and it ultimately leads to death. This is the road that leads away from Me, your King.

If you find yourself on the wrong path, don't lose heart-just cry out to Me and I will find you. I won't join you on this destructive detour, but I will lead you back to the road that leads to life again-the road your feet were created to walk on. Throughout My Word you will find signposts that will give you wisdom and direction. So keep reading and walking, My princess, and you will begin to discover the real joy of the journey of life.

Love,
Your King and the Way, the Truth, and the Life

7 Steps Before You Commit
His Princess Love Letter - 2012 | 16 Mei 2012 | 21:52:56

7 Steps Before You Commit
@by Sheri Rose Shepherd

Your Time and Talent are Valuable, so before you commit to anything or anyone, consider the following:

1. Look at the fruits of what follows that person and ask yourself where will they be leading you. Keep in mind NOT ALL open doors are from God.
"Just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions." ~Matthew 7:20

2. Take a hard look at your future and ask yourself, "Is this God's purpose & plan for me? Or will this person or project detour, delete or distract from what God may have for me?"
"Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil." ~Proverbs 4:26-27

3. Ask yourself, "Will I be growing in my walk with Christ when working with this person or on this project?"
"...be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." ~2 Peter 3:17-18

4. "Will my time and talent invested become a blessing to anyone other than myself?"
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." ~1 Thessalonians 5:11

5. Before you walk away from where you are for a new venture, PRAY HARD and count the cost of what you're leaving behind or giving up.
"But don't begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?" ~Luke 14:28

6. When the beginning excitement phase is over, is this something or someone that you would want to stay connected to when challenges arise?
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." ~1 Peter 5:8

7. Don't allow desperation force you to make a move too quickly. For major decisions, seek wisdom in the Word and wise counsel from those you trust. Then wait at least 30 days and see what God reveals before you invest your valuable time & talent in anyone or anything.
"Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act." ~Psalm 37:7

"Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." ~Psalm 119:105

Is My Heart God’s Resting Place?
Article | 15 Mei 2012 | 23:58:53

by Sylvia Gunter

This is what the Lord says:
Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?” Isaiah 66:1

God is looking for men and women who hear and obey when He speaks, who follow the truth He reveals, and have a sweet, holy desire to please Him. For such as these, the Powerful One will validate their lives and ministries because they know Him and have learned His ways. These lives will have God’s holy seal of approval. These lives become the holy dwelling places of God which He can bless with Himself in a special way.

Is God’s dwelling in your heart undisturbed? What about when the window of your parked vehicle is smashed and everything of value is taken? Does God want to rest in your heart then? What about when a child or friend is making a wrong choice? Does He want your heart to be His resting place then? What about when your job of twenty years is suddenly terminated or when your loved one is diagnosed with cancer? Does your heart rest in Him then?

How can it be? Our rest is in the Person who made all things, circumstances, people, and places. This kind of rest is bigger than physical relaxation or absence of labor. It is not just “getting away. “This rest is “as you are going” wherever God has called you. In Exodus 33:14, God says, “I will go with you and give you rest… in the midst.” This rest is an exchange of our frenzy, frustration, hurry, care, and anxiety for all the Spirit of Jesus, His strength and unruffled peace. It is all of God, manifesting all of Himself, in all the details, showing Himself strong in spite of our weakness, pressures, or circumstances. Rest is all of Him manifesting Himself.

The world would give you methods for psyching yourself up for peace of mind, but the real thing comes from the Person of Jesus, the Prince of Peace Himself.

In the Old Testament, one of the Hebrew words for rest is nuah. It means absence of activity or movement, being settled in a particular place with finality, victory, security, or salvation. Rest is in God alone (Psalm 62:1-2, 5; 116:7). It is a gift from God (1 Kings 8:56). God promises rest from the enemies called sorrow and suffering, turmoil and trouble, hard service and cruel bondage (Isaiah 14:3). Nevertheless, God warned that continued rest depended on their obedience (Numbers 32:15, Isaiah 28:12, Psalm 95:11). Continuing in God’s undisturbed composure requires that we keep our spirits and souls stayed on Him.

Another word for rest means to repose, to end, to observe the Sabbath, to cause to rest, to bring to completion. When God rested from creation, He did not stop because He was tired, but because His work of creation was complete. God ultimately accomplished true rest for His people through Messiah to make for Himself a glorious name (Isaiah 11:10, 63:14). The fulfillment of this is expressed in Hebrews 3:7-4:13. This Greek word for rest means to cease, refresh, rest, give intermission from labor. This passage speaks of entering into God’s rest. Christ’s rest is His completion on the cross of all the work needed for us to enter into His victory and grace, because all our spirit, our will, heart, imagination, and conscience (our total being) is centered in His perfect work. This is rest to be enjoyed in fellowship with the Father and the Son. This rest is the rest of God Himself in our spirits and hearts, based on relationship with Him.

God has the keys to His perfect rest. We must first cease striving in the energy of the flesh (Psalm 46:10-11). Get a fresh glimpse of His love and authority to live in harmony with the Father. When you struggle, acknowledge it and repent, “The dove of the Spirit is not resting undisturbed on my spirit, my heart, my soul, my mind, will, and emotions.” When we trust, we have the rest of Jesus by entering into it. Jesus provided a key when He said, “Learn of me, and you will find rest for your soul.” He did not say learn facts about Me, but learn Me, learn My ways, learn to receive from Me. Let Perfect Rest, the Lord of glory Himself, live uncontested in you and transform you by living His life through your spirit, from the inside out. Talk to him often about it, until you hear the dove of the Spirit, saying “You are my beloved son or daughter. I am well pleased with you.” God is seeking such intimacy and unhindered communion that He is the explanation for all our life, because we don’t depart from a conscious sense of His presence permeating us. This is “tabernacling” where the Spirit of God abides.

Does your heart long to be the resting place of God? How do you get to that place? Do you long for a time for God to draw you into this place?

A Way of Escape
His Princess Love Letter - 2012 | 13 Mei 2012 | 11:09:31

A Way of Escape

My Princess Warrior,

The enemy will always attempt to trap you by a appealing to your earthly desires and his strategy has taken many of my chosen ones down into a pit of despair.

Spiritual warfare is not a game My Princess Warrior. It is very real, and you will have to run as far from temptation as you can to keep from falling prey to it. I know running from the darkness may seem radical to many, but you are called to live a radical faith.

I will always make a way of escape for you. But you ultimately make the choice to either bite the tempting bait of Satan or escape the snare of the enemy and run to Me.

Love,
Your King, the Great Escape

~

Storms ... bring out Eagles
Poetry/Psalm | 12 Mei 2012 | 12:23:37

STORMS ...
BRING OUT EAGLES

When the "storms of life"
Gather darkly ahead,
I think of these wonderful words
I once read ...
And I say to myself
As threatening clouds hover,
"Don't fold up your wings
And run for cover."
But like the eagle,
Spread wide your wings
And soar far above
The troubles life brings.
For the eagle knows
That the higher he flies,
The more tranquil and brighter
Become the skies.
And there is nothing in life
We were ever asked to bear
That we can't soar above
On the wings of a prayer.
And in looking back over
The storm you passed through,
You'll find you gained strength
And new courage, too.
For in facing life's storms
With an eagle's wings,
You can fly far above
Earth's small, petty things.

“You can never go back” !!!
Thought-Encouragement | 11 Mei 2012 | 15:20:07

“You can never go back” !!!

All of us have wished at one time or another that we could go back in time to another day, another moment from our past and live it all over again. For some of us, we would want all of the joy and excitement that was associated with a special memory. Some of us spend a lot of time looking back, reminiscing over the “Good Old Days.”
Whether we like it or not, time marches on.

As Christians, we need to understand what the Bible teaches us about looking back and getting stuck in the past.

Genesis 19 teaches us that the angels of the Lord were going to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of their wickedness. However, before these angels could perform their assigned tasks they needed to evacuate Lot and his family. But, Lot and his family were dragging their feet and procrastinating. Genesis 19:16-17 tells us…
verse: 16 When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful. When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”

Despite the angel’s solemn warning, disaster struck Lot’s family. Genesis 19:26

"But Lot’s wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt."

Surely, Lot was thinking of her home, her prized possessions, her friends and acquaintances. The Hebrew word for “look” is quite instructive… nabat (naw-bat), which means: to look intently with pleasure or favor. In other words, Lot’s wife stared back. She was longing to go back home. She couldn’t let go of the past. She was stuck. The scriptures tell us that she was “following behind” her husband Lot. She was lingering, hesitating. She didn’t want things to change. She didn’t want to move forward. Subsequently, when disaster struck, Lot’s wife was fossilized into a stone pillar of salt. She had failed to move on and paid for her obstinacy with her life.

Sometimes, as Christians we can be a lot like Lot’s wife. We get stuck in the past. We long to go back to another place in time, when in reality we can never go back.

Jesus taught us to let go of the past and not to look back
Luke 9:57-62

"Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.”
58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
59 Then He said to another, “Follow Me.”
But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”
60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”
61 And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them
farewell who are at my house.”
62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Jesus is calling people to follow him. However, those who may otherwise have followed him, have excuses as to why they cannot. “First, let me bury my father!” “First, let me say farewell to my family.” People look back.

Jesus’ response is clear… “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

We as Christians, like Lot’s wife, have been called out of a world doomed to destruction. And, like Lot’s wife, we all too often choose to look back and hold on to the past. We are sometimes like those who have been called to follow Jesus who say, “But, first let me go back…” We get stuck in the past, we keep looking back. Jesus says this is unacceptable.

If we want to avoid the fate of Lot’s wife and become fossils to the past, then we must allow Jesus to take us by the hand and lead us forward to the goal He has in mind for us, and we must follow. Regarding this, the Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 3:12-13…
"I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. 13My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead."

We need to forget about what is behind us. Life is short. We don’t know what the future holds. But, often times people hold on to the past until it is too late.

Maybe you’re still living in the past. Maybe there are some places the Lord has been asking you to go and you’ve been dragging your feet. Maybe, there are some things the Lord has been asking you to do and you haven’t done them; you have been lingering, hesitating and procrastinating. What are you waiting for? A more convenient time? A more acceptable time? There is no guarantee that you will see tomorrow.

My friends, now is the time to let go of the past and move forward with Jesus Christ.

Be blessed
